How Pastors & Churches Can Prepare Before January 18th 2026
Acknowledge the Reality (Privately & Publicly)
Before January, meet with staff and key leaders and name this truth: people in our church are hurting, even if they’ve never spoken up. Plan a brief, gentle acknowledgment from the pulpit that this topic can be heavy, and that support is available.
Equip Your Team With Language We provide simple language that leaders can use confidently, along with guidance on what to avoid. Helpful phrases include:•
“You are not alone.”
“Healing is available.”•
"There is hope, healing, forgiveness, and freedom.
Create Safe, Quiet Pathways to Help
Healing often begins privately. Our print-ready cards, bulletin inserts, slides, and one-line announcements allow churches to offer support discreetly, without relying on altar calls or public responses.
Identify a Trusted Resource in Advance. Decide before January where you will refer people, so leaders aren’t scrambling in vulnerable moments. Our resources clearly outline next steps so staff know exactly how to respond if someone reaches out after a service.
Pray Intentionally. We encourage churches to pray by name for the unseen and unheard, asking the Holy Spirit to protect hearts from shame and gently draw people toward healing.
Resource Churches Can Share with Confidence
Confidential, biblically grounded abortion recovery support is available through She Found His Grace.

Sanctity of Life doesn’t begin at the pulpit. It begins with a prepared church and accessible resources ready to serve hurting hearts.
